As a Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, and visitors. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Tue08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Wed08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Thur08:00 AM - 04:30 PM Fri08:00 AM - 04:30 PM What You'll Do: + Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. + Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, storefronts, exterior grounds, and parking areas. + Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner. + Observe and report suspicious activity, property concerns, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel. + Assist with access control, directional information, and other security-related support for the location. Minimum Requirements: + A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. + A guard card or license is preferred. + CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. + A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred. + Customer service experience is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
