Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time TWIC Entry Control in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and support a secure environment for port operations. You will remain visible, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.49 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Tue 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Wed 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM What You'll Do: • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. • Monitor and control access to port facilities, gates, restricted areas, and distribution locations by verifying credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation. • Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, driver, and vehicle entry records in accordance with site procedures. • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed. • Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, business locations, and perimeter areas to help identify unauthorized access and report security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience. • Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential issued by the Transportation Security Administration. • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred. • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred. • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
