Assistant Kitchen Manager at Meal Prep Company

We’re hiring an Assistant Kitchen Manager who can step into any station and keep service moving on a menu that changes regularly. This role is hands-on: you’ll cook, prep, measure precisely, train teammates, and help with ordering when needed. The schedule is Thursday through Monday, starting at 6:00 a.m. and typically finishing between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m., depending on the day and how busy we are. Responsibilities • Work any kitchen station as needed that day, adapting as the menu changes • Measure ingredients accurately and use basic kitchen math for scaling and portioning • Cook on convection ovens, flat top, and stove • Prep raw ingredients and make sauces • Plate dishes as part of the full kitchen team • Train other team members on stations, recipes, and standards • Place ingredient orders from time to time What we’re looking for • Experience cooking across multiple stations, including convection oven, flat top, and stove • Comfort prepping raw ingredients and building sauces • Strong attention to detail with measurements and math • Ability to train, support, and oversee other cooks • Reliability on an early start and a variable end time driven by volume • Food-handler knowledge and a willingness to follow safety and sanitation standards What we offer • One free meal per shift • Employee discount • 401(k) after 3 months • Paid time off after a set tenure • A schedule that is more predictable than many kitchen roles: Thursday–Monday, 6:00 a.m. until finish (usually between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m.) If you can move between stations, measure carefully, and help the team improve, we’d like to hear from you.
