Retail Sales - Flooring

We are a locally, family owned business located in Howard County, MD who is looking to hire a retail sales assistant for our Columbia, MD showroom. This position will start off as a salaried retail sales assistant (5-days a week, which includes Saturday), but after 6-12 months will turn into a full-time retail sales associate earning commissions. Job Duties include but are not limited to: · Identify, pursue and follow up on all qualified leads · Greet and assist customers in the Showroom with product selection · Perform in-home measurements, when required · Estimate flooring quantity and related items needed (i.e. transitions, trims, etc.) in order to complete the project · Prepare competitive detailed bids and execute a sale · Assist with maintaining a presentable and organized showroom · Work with retail administrators to ensure they have the proper paperwork to order materials, schedule installations, and invoice the job once complete · Work with the installation and service departments to resolve any customer complaints or issues · Follow a sale from start to finish to ensure customer is satisfied with their order The ideal candidate: · Should be professional with an outgoing, friendly personality · Possesses excellent communication skills · Has strong attention to detail and is organized · Is eager to learn and driven · Has the ability to work under pressure and within predetermined deadlines Experience: · Candidate must have prior sales experience · Flooring knowledge is a bonus, but is not required Benefits at Bode Floors: • Competitive Pay • Medical and Dental • Paid STD • Voluntary Benefits (LTD & Life Insurance) • Employer matched 401-k • Generous Paid Time Off • Company Discount Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
