Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Painter role based in St. Petersburg, FL. The Painter is responsible for preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming, and then applying paints and coatings with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment. Daily tasks include selecting appropriate materials, mixing and matching colors, protecting adjacent surfaces, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. The role involves reading work orders or client instructions, estimating materials and time, and ensuring finished work meets quality and safety standards. The Painter will interact directly with clients or contractors, provide updates on progress, and manage tools and supplies for each project. Qualifications • Ability to work with various paints and coatings, including proper mixing, application, and cleanup. • Skills in Painting and Decorating, with an eye for detail, color coordination, and finish quality. • Experience in general Painting, including interior and exterior surfaces for residential or commercial projects. • Proficiency in Spray Painting techniques, equipment setup, and overspray control. • Knowledge of surface preparation methods, masking, and basic drywall or wood repair. • Understanding of workplace safety practices, including ladder use, ventilation, and protective equipment. • Ability to read and follow work orders, measure spaces accurately, and estimate materials and time. • Strong reliability, time management, and ability to work independently or as part of a small team. • Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and work at heights for extended periods. • Previous painting experience and a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation are beneficial.
