Job Title: Vegetation Groundman Location: Louisiana, USA Position Reports To: Vegetation Foreman Job Classification: Full Time / Non-Exempt Company: Electra Grid Solutions Website: electragridsolutions.com Job Summary The Vegetation Groundman is a dependable entry-level role supporting vegetation management operations along utility rights-of-way. This position involves manual labor, equipment operation, and site preparation to assist in the safe and efficient removal of trees, brush, and other vegetation. The Vegetation Groundman plays a key role in maintaining clearances around electrical infrastructure and ensuring crew safety. Candidates must demonstrate a strong work ethic, commitment to safety protocols, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization. Key Duties and Responsibilities Perform manual labor tasks, including digging trenches, clearing debris, and preparing job sites. Operate hand and power tools, including chainsaws, mowers, and brush cutters. Load and unload trucks, haul and hoist materials, and assist with setting up equipment. Maintain a clean and hazard-free job site. Prune and remove vegetation from ground level or bucket operations. Chip brush and dispose of waste material safely. Apply herbicides in accordance with label instructions and industry standards. Assist crew members and other departments as needed. Follow all safety procedures and incident reporting protocols. Demonstrate continued learning and progression in skills and responsibilities. Qualifications And Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent required.
