Responsibilities • Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to ensure cleanliness and availability for food preparation and service • Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety standards • Maintain a clean and sanitized work area by regularly cleaning surfaces, floors, and storage areas in compliance with health regulations • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers, ovens, mixers, and other culinary tools • Support meal preparation by organizing ingredients, assembling dishes, and adhering to recipe specifications • Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure food safety and prevent cross-contamination • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy service times Qualifications • Previous experience in a dietary department or food service setting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation practices • Basic culinary skills including knife techniques such as slicing and dicing • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members • Experience with menu planning or food preparation is a plus • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment Join us in creating delicious meals while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety!
