Carpenter/Laborer

Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of residential and commercial projects, contributing to high-quality craftsmanship and efficient project completion. Duties • Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute projects. • Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, siding, and fixture installation. • Operate woodworking machines safely to cut, shape, and assemble wood construction materials. • Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for framing, concrete forming, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration. • Assist with remodeling projects by installing flooring, drywall, tile, caulking, and other finishing touches. • Follow construction safety protocols related to power tool safety and general site safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Skills • Proven experience in construction estimating, blueprint reading, and interpreting technical drawings. • Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, saws, chisels; power tools including drills, saws, sanders; woodworking machines; and metal stud framing equipment. • Strong background in residential/commercial construction with expertise in framing, trim carpentry, cabinet installation, door hanging, and fixture mounting. • Knowledge of construction site safety practices related to power tools and heavy lifting. • Ability to read construction plans accurately and follow detailed instructions for various projects. • Experience with plastering techniques, restoration work. • Familiarity with working on diverse construction sites with an emphasis on quality craftsmanship in remodeling or renovation settings. • Excellent physical stamina for demanding tasks such as heavy lifting and long hours on-site; handyman experience is a plus for versatile support roles.
