Baker (Bread/Pastry Fri-Mon $18 - $25/hr)

SCHEDULE: FRI - MON 5:30AM - 2PM This position requires experience working in a professional bakery with an emphasis on artisan baking. We produce sourdough breads and pastries from scratch, so you must have the experience or aptitude for learning these skills. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Above all you must care a great deal about quality and pay careful attention to detail - Bake daily batches of breads and pastries - Mix and shape sourdough loaves - Prepare large batches of cookie dough, pie dough, brownies, granola, and other pastries - Prepare pastry creams, jams, fillings, etc. - Scale ingredients accurately using a digital kitchen scale - Operate and maintain all bakery equipment, including Deck Ovens, Rotating Rack Oven, Mixers, Proofer, Dough Sheeter, Kitchen Scales - Use professional knife skills and have experience using commercial kitchen equipment (Rational combi oven, convection oven, cook range, Robot Coupe food processor, Vitamix blender, 30 Quart Mixer, smoker, deli slicer, sous vide, meat grinder, etc) - Wash your own small wares, pots, pans, and clean equipment - Maintain a neat and tidy environment at all times - Ensure daily/weekly checklists are followed HOW TO APPLY FOR THIS JOB: *** READ CAREFULLY *** (FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE YOUR APPLICATION STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD.)
